Warsaw Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski announced the establishment of the Smart City Council. He appeared at the IX Smart City Forum under the patronage of BiznesAlert.pl. – Warsaw is a city of digital transformation. Every modern city must be a city of innovation – said the president.

– Today we are looking for a city profile that will differentiate us from other cities. We want to attract investors. We are all talking about innovation. Now the question arises how to translate it into concrete solutions – said the mayor.

According to Trzaskowski, development strategy in 2030-2040 of Warsaw will be based on innovation and its „quality of the social side”. – We want to implement the idea of ​​a smart city through what we are the best in, and hence the activity of the residents. We are an open metropolis that cooperates with neighboring municipalities. We work with the scientific sector, innovative business so that residents can benefit from this potential – he said.

The mayor assured that the Town Hall treats the city as a platform that helps him communicate with the inhabitants. – There is no way to govern without communication and conversations with residents – he said.

– Warsaw is a city of digital transformation. Every modern city must be a city of innovation – said Trzaskowski. – Innovation and digitization are among my priorities. We want to continue to develop, among others e-services to make the city closer to the residents – he added.

Trzaskowski also announced the appointment of the Smart City Council. – We want to reconcile our projects in order to create a wide and real participation of residents. We want to test intelligent technologies in our city – he said. In this context, he stated that innovative solutions can help in the fight against smog. – The fight against air pollution is one of my priorities. We are open to all solutions that will help fight smog – said the Forum guest.
