What goes on in Poland on the 27th of October.
Westinghouse will probably be a partner at the Polish nuclear power plant
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State Assets was asked in the Sejm on Wednesday by journalists about his next visit to South Korea. – I am planning further talks, this time with a Korean partner, but at the same time I want to make it very clear that these projects, the American project, or the potential American project, because at the moment we are talking about a government project, envisages the construction of two nuclear power plants – said Jacek Sasin.
He reminded that one location for the nuclear power plant has been already selected. – We are on the eve of the announcement of a strategic partner for the construction of this power plant. There are many indications, although there is no decision yet, but I can say after this visit to the United States that it will be the American Westinghouse – said Sasin. He admitted that regardless of this, the government is also looking for opportunities to strengthen the nuclear potential in terms of energy. – And here, too, perhaps it will be possible in the near future to present another project, implemented in parallel with this government project, a business project implemented jointly with partners from South Korea. These talks will take place in the near future. They are probably very advanced, regardless of the planned visit. A different, separate and parallel government project will probably be finalized, informed Jacek Sasin.
The government will provide PLN 800 million for the needs of energy-intensive companies
The government will allocate PLN 800 million as part of the first round of the support program for energy-intensive enterprises. The second part is to start soon with a higher amount.
– The first round of government aid is PLN 800 million of support for 92 companies from all over Poland. The money will be paid out in November. This is not the end of support. We are preparing another program with more aid – said Minister of Development and Technology Waldemar Buda.
