As he pointed out, in addition to the meeting in the Palace, a Business Forum will also be held.

On April 17, Orlen will reveal locations for SMRs

BiznesAlert.pl has learned that on April 17, 2023, PKN Orlen will reveal the locations for its small reactors in Poland. The company is to specify three or more locations where it will build its small atom. Dawid Jackiewicz, CEO of Orlen Synthos Green Energy, confirmed the above date at the Salon24 conference in Warsaw.

Orlen’s strategy includes a plan to achieve climate neutrality by 2050, which is why it wants to invest in low-and zero-emission energy generation capacities. To this end the company will use the MMR and SMR technology, i.e. micro and small modular reactors. According to Orlen CEO Daniel Obajtek, the company plans to install 78 reactors throughout the country.

The company responsible for the preparation and implementation of the small atom in Poland is Orlen Synthos Green Energy. A few weeks ago, it signed an agreement on the construction of SMRs in Poland with GE Hitachi and partners from the USA and Canada.
