What goes on in Poland on the 21st of July.

Piotr Naimski has been dismissed

I use this channel to announce that on July 20 I was dismissed from the position of the Government Plenipotentiary for Strategic Energy Infrastructure and the Secretary of State in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. As an oral justification, I was told that I am not suitable for cooperation and that I “block everything”. This is not the first dismissal in my already quite long life – wrote Piotr Naimski on Facebook.

– On this occasion, I would like to tell you that the Baltic Pipe, which was built by Gaz-System supervised by me on behalf of the State Treasury, will be put into operation in October, and the opening ceremony will be held on September 27 at the Szczecin Philharmonic. I dare say that building this connection between Poland and Norwegian gas deposits is one of the most important political and economic successes achieved by our country in the past thirty years. The gas noose that Russia put around Poland will be untied this year. Russia will not be able to blackmail us by turning off the “gas tap”. Russia’s war with Ukraine and the use of energy blackmail by the Russians against all of Europe show how important it is for the country’s security – Naimski wrote on Facebook.

Krzysztof Tchórzewski may return to the government

According to Polskatimes.pl, former energy minister Krzysztof Tchórzewski is to become deputy minister of state assets. He is to be responsible for mining if he accepts the offer.

– The portal polskatimes.pl has learned that Krzysztof Tchórzewski was offered the position of deputy minister of state assets, in the ministry headed by Deputy Prime Minister Jacek Sasin. If he accepts the proposal, he will be responsible for matters related to coal – the news portal said.
