PSE and electricity market operators will launch a joint project in February 2021

Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne (PSE) and Designated Electricity Market Operators (NEMO) have announced a new date for launching the Polish Multi-NEMO (MNA) project as part of the Day-Ahead Single Market Interconnection. The project will start on February 2, 2021.

PSE reports that the launch of the Polish MNA project depends on the successful completion of simulation tests aimed at checking the operational readiness of the parties. The Polish MNA project is in the final stage of implementation, the change of its launch date allows for additional measurements to be carried out to confirm the stability and reliability of all systems and operational processes.

The parties to the project are fully committed to finalizing the MNA in accordance with Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/1222 of 24 July 2015 laying down guidelines for capacity allocation and congestion management (CACM), with the aim of developing competitiveness among NEMOs in European energy markets and supporting the creation of a fully integrated internal energy market.
