PZL Świdnik is working on a new version of SW-4. Krystowski: a completely new offer

We are working on a new version of the SW-4 helicopter, which will be called AW009 – CEO of PZL Świdnik Krzysztof Krystowski said in an interview for BiznesAlert.pl. He also added that the new model could conquer foreign markets.

The producer from Świdnik took part in the Radom Air Show which took place last weekend. The guests of the event had a chance to see the civilian version of SW-4. The pilots of the Polish Air Force Academy in Dęblin use the military version of the helicopter for training.

„This model is especially offered to business operators, but is also used for training purposes. This helicopter was designed and produced in Poland from start to finish. We are working on a new version, which will be called AW009,” CEO of PZL Świdnik Krzysztof Krystowski told us.

Better engine and avionics

He also added that the AW990 will have a more powerful engine and improved avionics. „It will be a completely new offer from Poland sold across the world,” Krystowski announced.

Other machines produced in Świdnik also took part in the show, including Mi-2 and helicopters from the W-3 Sokół family.
