The National Reconstruction Plan will be consulted by the end of February

Poland will present the National Reconstruction Plan by the end of April. Its detailed assumptions for consultation will be presented at the end of February. Then it is to be submitted to the European Commission by the end of April.

– The National Reconstruction Plan (KPO), in accordance with EU regulations, will include investments and reforms aimed at rebuilding and increasing the resilience of economies after the coronavirus pandemic. The Reconstruction Plan will allow us to obtain funds from the Reconstruction Fund, under which we will have approximately 57 billion euros, including approximately 23 billion euros in non-repayable funds and 34 billion euros in the form of loans. The European Commission directed part of the funds: 37 percent will be spent the environment, 20 percent on digitization – reminds the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy in the comment for BiznesAlert.pl.

– Work on the reconstruction plan is advanced. We are in constant contact with the European Commission and we have already discussed a large part of our proposals. We have already completed the most important and time-consuming tasks. We collected and analyzed project proposals from ministries and regions. This allowed us to gain a broad overview of the investment needs across the country. We have also collected proposals for economic reforms that are of key importance to us and the European Commission. However, it is too early to talk about specific investments. KPO consultations will begin at the end of February. Then we will present more details – provides the resort.

– We will submit the document to the European Commission according to the appointed time, that is by the end of April, perhaps even earlier – we read in the commentary.

The National Reconstruction Plan is to finance economic projects that will accelerate its development slowed down by the crisis caused by the coronavirus. A significant part of its funds is to be allocated to climate goals, including energy transformation. BiznesAlert.pl informed that they can also be used to implement the Polish energy strategy PEP2040 and thus reduce the burden on the budget with the costs of its implementation.
