The only thing that’s certain are the price increases. Happy New Year!

Energy, gas and fuel prices are rising. The Energy Regulatory Office has introduced new tariffs that are higher by several percent. It could have been worse, but we’ll see what 2022 brings.

“Energy prices, despite a significant increase, may continue to rise. There may be further applications for increases. This 20 percent increase is not the last one in 2022,” said Mariusz Marszałkowski, editor at BiznesAlert.pl. “There is no escape, prices will go up. However, if it wasn’t for the anti-inflation shield, the prices would have been even higher. The only thing that’s certain are the price increases. We will see how high they will be in the whole of 2022,” said Wojciech Jakóbik, editor-in-chief at BiznesAlert.pl.

“Normally, the increase in the gas tariff was supposed to be several hundred and not several dozen percent, but it was spread over three years,” Jakóbik explained. “Someone who heats their house with gas knows that it’s hard to save this fuel. The only way is to insulate the house. Those who cannot do it, can only lower the temperature at home and walk in thicker clothes,” said Mariusz Marszałkowski.

“The reason why today the oil price is higher, is because the demand had dropped earlier, which was an anomaly. Some producers have reduced production and financing of new wells. We have less supply and growing demand,” explained Marszałkowski.
