On Saturday, August 31, 2019, the 2nd Strategic Dialogue Meeting between the Republic of Poland and the United States of America will be held in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister in Warsaw. During the meeting, an agreement between the Republic of Poland, the United States and Ukraine on cooperation to strengthen the regional security of natural gas supply will be signed – informs the office of the government’s plenipotentiary for strategic energy infrastructure Piotr Naimski.

The delegations of the Government of the Republic of Poland, chaired by Piotr Naimski, Secretary of State in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, and the United States of America chaired by Rick Perry, Secretary of Energy, will discuss the progress of bilateral cooperation in the field of nuclear energy, cybersecurity, fossil fuels and energy infrastructure.

A press conference summarizing the Dialogue meeting will be held on 15:30, during which a cooperation agreement will be signed between Poland, the United States and Ukraine to strengthen the regional security of gas supply. The document will be signed by Piotr Naimski, Secretary of State in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, US Secretary of Energy Rick Perry and Oleksandr Danyliuk, Secretary of the Security and National Defense Council of Ukraine. The agreement concerns cooperation in the area of ​​reforms of the Ukrainian gas market, natural gas import infrastructure of the Republic of Poland, Ukraine’s storage infrastructure and US LNG exports, as well as gas connections in the region.
