„The EU Electricity Market Design Reform (EMD) is a response to the energy crisis and the soaring gas and electricity prices. This solution is good for Poland, so we need to hurry,” says Ryszard Pawlik, advisor to MEP Jerzy Buzek in an interview with BiznesAlert.pl.

„Poland’s dependence on coal is substantial, it accounts for more than 70 percent of electricity production. This is good and important news,” says Szymon Kardaś, senior policy fellow at the European Council on Foreign Relations, in an interview with BiznesAlert.pl.

„Out of all the coal asset producers whose role has changed, we are the biggest one. Today, they are the stabilizer of the national energy system because, unlike wind farms, they are stable,” said Norbert Grudzień, VP for Operations and Transformation at PGE GiEK, during the DISE Energy Congress in Wrocław.
