Nuclear energy, along with renewables, will be a major part of our country’s energy mix for decades to come. Large nuclear power plants are just as important for the stability of energy supply as SMR programs. 

Poland will handle the technology and financing of nuclear power plants. An American company Last Energy has applied for the so-called decision in principle to construct a small nuclear reactor in Jaworze. The problem is that the local government did not know about this investment, and it has been planning that within a few years the town would get back its status as a resort.

Poland has entered into extensive economic cooperation with South Korea. This is a kind of expansion of relations beyond Western Europe and the United States.
