Poland’s president calls for solidarity in the sanctions

On Tuesday, October 11, the meeting of the presidents of the Visegrad Group began in Bratislava. The Heads of State will attend two plenary sessions. The first will be devoted to the security situation in the V4 region as a result of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine; the second – the energy crisis and common European solutions, including the need for a green transformation – the Polish president’s website said.

– I believe that we will be in solidarity and that we will survive together – said President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda at the meeting of the Visegrad Group. He recalled that the energy crisis was caused by Russia’s deliberate actions by Gazprom, which has been limiting gas supply since the summer of 2021, and that these actions were part of preparations for the attack on Ukraine.

Bayraktars will enter the Polish army in October 2022

On May 24, 2021, a contract was signed for the supply of four Bayraktar TB2 tactical unmanned aerial vehicles in the years 2022-2024. The Ministry of Defense hopes that the Turkish drones will play an important role in breaking the Russian A2 / AD system. – It is certainly a very important event. We observe how these drones perform during real threats and real war. This is a very important element in the modernization of the armed forces, says Wojciech Skurkiewicz.

The deputy minister of the Ministry of National Defense also spoke about other important supplies of equipment for the Polish armed forces. – The last months of this year will be very fruitful when it comes to modern equipment. The equipment includes the Wisła program, i.e. Patriot rocket launcher batteries. The K2 Black Panther tanks will also arrive, as part of an agreement with the Korean side – emphasized the deputy head of the Ministry of National Defense.
