What goes on in Poland on the 26th of January.

Polish gas transmission operator, Gaz-System, and its Danish counterpart, Energinet, have started work on securing a positive Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for their proposed natural gas pipeline project, the Baltic Pipe.

Poland wants to consistently pursue its policy of diversifying gas supply sources and thus reducing its dependence on Russian raw material supplies. For the first time in official government documents, Warsaw informs about the plan to abandon the Yamal contract after its expiry – writes Piotr Stępiński, editor of BiznesAlert.pl.

What goes on in Poland on the 21st of December.

The planned Baltic Pipe gas pipeline, connecting the Polish and Danish gas transmission system, is to have a capacity of 10 billion cubic meters per year. It is supposed to be ready by October 2022.

Although in media we could read about a threat to the Baltic Pipe project realization, The Polish are convinced that the investment shall be realized without any disturbances.
