With reference to the press releases published by Ukrainian companies, i.e. Uktransgaz and Naftohaz, on the increased available gas capacity of 6.6 billion m3/year for the Poland-Ukraine interconnection, GAZ-SYSTEM informs that the existing gas infrastructure at the Polish-Ukrainian border does not allow for transmission of such a volume of gas from Poland to Ukraine.

Based to preliminary estimation, the recoverable resources of the Shrek discovery is in the range between 19 and 38 MMboe (million barrels of oil equivalent), as confirmed by the Norwegian Oil Directorate (NPD).

As every year, before the start of the winter season, Polish Oil and Gas Company (PGNiG) has completely filled the capacity of underground gas storage facilities. The company is ready to increase demand for gas in the winter.
