On June 21, 2019, the West Pomerania Province Governor signed the decision on establishing the location for the construction of the Baltic Pipe infrastructure. The investment will consist in the design, construction and operation of a gas pipeline from the Płoty transmission station to the Goleniów compressor station along with the extension of the Płoty transmission station.

PGNiG Group leads in innovation in oil and gas exploration
Geofizyka Toruń SA of the PGNiG Group is the first company in Europe to employ new seismic data acquisition technologies in searching for hydrocarbon deposits. The company is replacing the hitherto used cabled geophone networks with ultra-lightweight wireless nodal sensors. Their small size and low weight allow to conduct exploration with no harm to the natural environment and local communities.

– How much does the US LNG imported to Poland since 2017 cost? The price varies from almost $ 120 to about $ 300 for 1000 cubic meters at the point of its loading. PGNiG purchased interest in another gas field in Norway
PGNiG Upstream Norway will acquire 22.2 percent of shares in King Lear field – PL146 and PL333 licenses – from Total E&P Norge. The volume of production in the part attributable to PGNiG may reach 0.25 bcm of natural gas annually. The production start is planned for 2025.

Without a permanent, predictable policy for the development of renewable energy, the share of Polish producers in the RES market will be relatively small. A coherent vision of the RES market development presented by the government is needed to encourage Polish companies to be more actively involved in the supply chains of low-emission technologies. Without a clear plan, we are threatened by unpredictable, one-off calls, like this year’s auctions.
