On February 19th tender participants are to present their offers for the design, construction and exploitation of Gdynia’s outer port, which is to become the foundation of the installation terminal for Poland’s offshore wind farms. The liberalization of the law on onshore wind farms is to propose a compromise of a 500 meters distance between turbines and buildings, but it will not include noise standards.  It is to be presented in June, after the local elections.

„We will definitely be able to manage a third nuclear facility in the country, and Poland’s energy needs clearly show that another nuclear power plant will be needed,” says Adam Rajewski from Nucler PL in an interview with BiznesAlert.pl.

During discussions between Tusk and Macron in Paris, the French President emphasized the critical need for bilateral cooperation in the energy sector between the two countries. He stated that both countries are primarily responsible for the development of European nuclear energy. The French would like to build Poland’s second nuclear power plant.

At the Sejm Committee on Maritime Economy and Inland Navigation on Thursday, the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Arkadiusz Marchewka clearly and unequivocally declared that the container port in Świnoujście would be built. The politician from the Civic Coalition pointed out several times that this was a project of strategic importance for Poland.

„Intentional or accidental damage to fuel infrastructure presents significant challenges to the state’s operations. Russia demonstrated during the conflict in Ukraine that causing such disruptions is one of its objectives. How can we safeguard against this? On February 7, the Commission on Energy, Climate and State Assets (ESK) held a meeting where MPs analyzed the remarks from the President of Energy Regulatory Office (URE) on the Polish power industry, changes in dynamic tariffs and available solutions for individual customers that own PV installations and heat pumps.

Last Wednesday the European Commission decided to open an infringement procedure against Poland for failing to completely transpose the EU Industrial Emissions Directive – Onet.pl has reported.
