Gazprom decided not to book the Yamal pipe, but it doesn’t mean it will abandon it

By deciding not to take part in the capacity auction for the Polish section of the Yamal-Europa gas pipeline, for the first time in the history of the pipe the Russian company was not interested in continuing a stable and all year long usage of this route to transport gas to Europe. However, this does not mean that the Russian giant has completely abandoned Poland as a transit country. Walijewski: Climate change will make water shortages worse in some parts of Poland (INTERVIEW)

In the modern world electricity is a given. In Poland to a large degree power is generated with bituminous coal and lignite. This will not change in the coming years and the deposits in, e.g. Konin (lignite -ed.) will continue to be exploited. In result, the problem with water accessibility will not disappear and the climate change we are witnessing will only make water shortages worse, especially in Greater Poland. Therefore, to the degree that it is even possible, we should start working on stopping this process, or reversing it. It seems difficult, but it is not impossible and requires changes in the way we manage water – Grzegorz Walijewski spokesman for the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) told BizneAlert.pl in an interview.

The first one is a quiet acceptance of the gas directive that they officially criticize and try to challenge at various tribunals. The second one is probing how Berlin, the German regulator BNetZa and the European Commission will react to this move – Bartosz Bieliszczuk, expert at the Polish Institute of International Affairs (PISM).

My Electricity 3.0. – home PV grants for latecomers

A new edition of the My Electricity (Mój Prąd) program will be launched at the beginning of July. Those who installed PV panels between February 2020 and the end of this year will be allowed to apply for the grant. It may turn out that out of the planned 179 thousand new installations, which can apply to the new program, 100 thousand have been already built, and their owners will be allowed to apply for the grants. This means those who would like to use the new system should already start building their PV installations – Bartłomiej Sawicki, editor at BiznesAlert.pl, writes.
